Ensemble Liaison – Lismore City Hall

Ensemble Liaison is being brought to you by Musica Viva Lismore in association with Northern Rivers Conservatorium Arts Centre. The Ensemble were recently named Ensemble in Residence at Monash University.
Comprised of three internationally acclaimed musicians – David Griffiths (clarinet), Svetlana Bogosavljevic (cello) and Timothy Young (piano), they performed their debut concert for ABC Classic FM which featured in “The best of Sunday Live 2006”.
Critics have hailed their performances as: spellbinding, flawless, a revelation, moving, joyous, polished, stunningly blended, engaging, powerful and having boundless lyricism, enthusiasm and dexterity.
They have appeared on ABC TV’s Sunday Arts program, had many performances streamed live on the web around the world and have been recorded many times for broadcast on ABC Classic FM and 3MBS FM.
Much of the music they will be presenting is based on folk traditions with Bartok’s Romanian folk dances as well as folk song derived works by Brahms and Gershwin as well as the fantasy inspired, Beethoven Trio op 11.
