Rotary Club to recognise Pride in Workmanship
The Rotary Club of Kyogle Inc will recognise outstanding service by local employees to their employers through the Pride of Workmanship Awards Scheme.
Lee Furlong, Rotary member and local coordinator of the awards scheme, told the NRTT that the Rotary Pride of Workmanship Awards Scheme is run throughout Australia. The scheme is designed to enable managers and employers to publically recognise employees who show pride in their work, who do a “sterling and outstanding job”, and who “go above the call of duty”, said Lee.
The scheme promotes the Rotary principle of “Do it Once – Do it Well”, and a sense of responsibility to do a job well which, according to Lee, “is one of the greatest intangible assets in our community.”
Rotary has written to local employers seeking nominations for the awards, which close on 31 March. Awards will be presented at a dinner to be held at the Kyogle Golf Club on 19 May. The presentation dinner will provide an opportunity for employers, employees, and family and friends to get together to recognise outstanding achievement, Lee told the NRTT.
Employers or managers interested in nominating one or more of their employees should contact Lee Furlong:
